MINSK, 24 June (BelTA) – Cities of Brest Oblast will sign new twinning agreements at the 13th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia,
the press service of the Brest Oblast Executive Committee told BelTA.
The delegation of the southwestern region of Belarus at the Forum will be headed by Brest Oblast Governor Piotr Parkhomchik. The extensive program includes the signing of bilateral documents. In particular, an agreement on cooperation in trade, economy, science, technology, culture, social affairs, and other areas is planned between the Brest Oblast Executive Committee and the Government of Moscow Oblast. The Brest Oblast Executive Committee and the Administration of Astrakhan Oblast will also approve an action plan for cooperation for 2026-2028.
“New twinning agreements will also be formalized by Brest, Baranovichi, and Pinsk. In addition, a whole package of documents involving the Brest Oblast Council of Deputies is planned for signing,” the press service said. “As part of bilateral cooperation, business entities will sign commercial contracts worth more than RUB 1 billion.”
During preparations for the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, business entities of Brest Oblast signed export commercial contracts worth a significant amount in January-May of this year.
